Description: ELECTRONIC RESOURCES LIBRARIAN - The State University of 
New York College at Cortland is seeking a librarian to develop the library's 
electronic and digital resources. Blending traditional librarianship with technological 
ability, responsibilities include collection development for electronic and web-based 
materials including contract negotiations, acquisition and maintenance of electronic 
collections. Provides collection development in selected areas as well as reference and 
instruction. Maintains the library's E-Z Proxy server and URL resolver (SFX).


Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Library Science; demonstrated experience or 
familiarity with technology such as automated library systems, digital reference tools 
and networked environment; familiarity with database development and design.


Preferred qualifications: second master's degree; experience with XML and XSL; teaching 
or training experience; familiarity with web-based technologies such as XHTML, CSS and 
JavaScript; familiarity with Web accessibility, usability and design standards, and with 
Unix and D-space; experience with vendors, including contract negotiations. Review of
