Code of Conduct

NASIG is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, or economic status. We do not tolerate the harassment of NASIG members and others who participate in NASIG conferences, events, meetings, conference sponsored social activities and online spaces in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any venue, including talks, workshops, receptions, Twitter and other online media, unless it is specifically relevant to the research being presented. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Conference Program

This year’s program will be entirely online in Sched. Digital signs outside each session room will provide a snapshot of sessions in that room and there will be a few posters outside of main areas and at the registration desk that detail the day’s sessions.

COVID Protocol

  • NASIG Onsite Attendees protocol: If a conference attendee contracts COVID while attending the 2022 NASIG conference in person, they will be asked to attend the conference virtually from their hotel room. The onsite portion of the expense the attendee paid for the conference will be refunded, but the virtual attendee amount will still be charged and the attendee will be considered a virtual attendee from that point onward. 

  • Baltimore City COVID Testing Locations

    • Closest to hotel: Baltimore Convention Center

    • Testing Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8 am – 3:30 pm

    • Please Note: 8 – 10 am is the busiest time for COVID testing. For walk-ins or appointments, we recommend stopping by or scheduling an appointment in the afternoon.

    • When scheduling a visit, please use your full legal name and bring ID to the appointment.

    • For questions about testing or obtaining test results, please call 410-649-6200.

COVID Conference Waiver 

By way of completing the NASIG 2022 Annual Conference registration form:

  • I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.
  • I further acknowledge that NASIG has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
  • I further acknowledge that NASIG cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, hotel staff, and other hotel guests.
  • I acknowledge that by attending the NASIG 2022 Annual Conference I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending the conference and all conference events.
  • I hereby release and agree to hold NASIG harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of NASIG, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection to the NASIG 2022 Annual Conference. I understand that this release discharges NASIG from any liability or claim that I, my dependents, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the organization with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to NASIG or the NASIG 2022 Annual Conference. This liability waiver and release extends to all NASIG officers and volunteers.

    Dine-Arounds

    All dine-arounds are within 0.5 miles of the hotel, accessible, and have outdoor seating available. Please sign up at the registration desk early if you are interested. Dine-arounds will be limited to smaller groups due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Medical

    Membership

    Join NASIG or renew your membership today and receive the membership conference and pre-conference rates. NASIG membership will save you $115 off of the full conference rate during registration.

    NASIG Ramble

    The NASIG Ramble will begin behind the hotel near Mr. Trash Wheel. It will consist of a 1.5 or 3 mile walk/run that circles Baltimore’s inner harbor. The sights include a lighthouse, several historic ships, the famous Baltimore aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, and stunning views from atop Federal Hill. Participants will have the option to run or walk a 1.5 mile out and back (3 miles total) or take the free water taxi (after completing 1.5 miles) across the harbor to return to Mr. Trash Wheel. A waiver and map is forthcoming.

    Parking

    • Hotel Valet Parking: $46 daily
    • Off-site self-parking$8 hourly, $25 daily

    Parking garage does not accommodate oversized vehicles-height clearance 6 feet 8 inches.

    Printing, computers

    The business center is located inside the UPS Store on the second floor. It is accessible 24/7 with a room key card and there is a $7.95 minimum for printing/Internet usage.
