Getting Around Pittsburgh
Airport
Most major airlines and some budget carriers fly to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). The Airport has 2 main buildings – the Landside Terminal and the Airside Terminal. The Airside Terminal consists of 4 concourses.
Ground Transportation from Airport
Once arriving in Pittsburgh take the People Mover tram to the Landside Terminal (one and only stop). From the terminal head to the lower level for baggage and ground transportation.
Taxi
Costs about $40, exit through the “commercial” doors and head toward the taxi stand. Area cabs will be waiting.

Uber/Lyft
The price varies, cars are authorized to pick-up and drop-off at the terminal. From Door 4, find the commercial pickup – ride sharing signs.
SuperShuttle
One-way fare between PIT and downtown is about $30. Reservationscan be made by phone or online. When you arrive proceed to the SuperShuttlecustomer service counter by the rental car area near Door 4.
Port Authority Transit 28X Airport Flyer Bus
The fare between the airport and Downtown is $2.75, exact change is required. When using a Connect Card the fare is $2.50. The card can be purchased and loaded at the machine located near Door 6. The driver cannot help with your luggage. Once the bus arrives, get off at the 2nd stop (Liberty Ave. at Wood St.) Head up 6th Street for 1 block. Continue on 6th Street for 1 more block to William Penn Place. The hotel will be on the right.
Port Authority (Bus, Trolley and Incline Service)
The hotel is across the street from the Steel Plaza Light Rail Station (the T). The T is free to use only within the downtown area and to the North Shore. Once the T crosses the Monongahela River you are required to pay the fare. Buses provide service to all neighborhoods in the city. All bus/trolley/incline rides are $2.75 cash or $2.50 with a Connect Card, readily available for purchase. The Port Authority Service Center is located across the street from the Hotel below Mellon Square Park, 534 Smithfield Street. If you are planning to visit Oakland (the Museum and University District) any of the 61 or 71 buses will take you there. For additional information try the Port Authority Trip Planner.
Rental Car
All of the major rental car companies provide service at PIT, car pickup is on the lower level.
Driving/Parking
Valet parking is available at the hotel for hotel guests at $42 per night with in/out privileges. Day rates are available for non-hotel guests. Parking is limited to standard size vehicles.
Self-parking is across the street in the Mellon Square Garage.
Day Rates - $20 Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Evening/Weekend Rates - $6. There are no in/out privileges for this lot.
Train
Amtrak provides service to Pittsburgh; the station is located at 1100 Liberty Avenue. The distance to the Hotel is 4 blocks.
Buses
Greyhound provides service to Pittsburgh, as does Megabus for limited cities. Both stations are within a 4 to 5 block walk of the Hotel.
