Hotel reservations: The link to the hotel registration page is provided at the time of conference registration. It will be sent in the confirmation email.

NASIG Conference Hotel Rate:

Discounted group rate: Deluxe/Deluxe King: $179/per night, plus Tourism Promotion and Assessment fee of $20/per night and 12% local and state taxes at the time of checkout.

The link to the discounted rate will also be included in your registration confirmation email. However, please note that as it is past the cut-off date, we cannot guarantee the group rate.

ADA Requests: If you have requests for specific accessibility needs, please contact the Spokane Davenport Grand using the information on the reservation confirmation received after booking. If you have any difficulties with booking an accessible room, contact the NASIG Conference Coordinator, Jacque Brellenthin. More ADA details TBA.

Hotel Cancellations: NASIG is not responsible for hotel room cancellations. Please see the Spokane Davenport Grand Cancellation Policy. As cancellation policies have different flexibilities during the pandemic, further hotel cancellation policies will be provided at the time of room reservation and in your reservation confirmation. You may also call the Spokane Davenport Grand at (509) 458-3330 for the most up to date cancellation policies.

Conference/Events

This conference will be an entirely in-person event with workshop sessions offered. A separate virtual NASIG conference will be held in the Fall of 2024.

Business Meeting/Member’s Forum: TBD

Conference Refund Policies:

  • There will be a $50 processing fee for all cancellations received on or before May 19, 2024 (except for no cost registrations).
  • The full registration amount minus a $50 processing fee will be refunded if the cancellation request is received on or before April 3, 2024.
  • Fifty percent (50%) of the registration amount minus a $50 processing fee will be refunded if the cancellation request is received between April 4 - May 19, 2024.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations received on or after May 20, 2024.

All cancellations must be sent via email to the conference registrar (registrar@nasig.org). The final decision on conference refunds rests with the NASIG President and Treasurer.

NASIG is not responsible for problems beyond our control such as (but not limited to) weather conditions, transportation disruptions, prepaid parking, prepaid tours, etc. No refunds will be given in these situations. Late requests for refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Internet access: Complimentary wireless in General Session Rooms will be available.

Payments accepted:

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or invoice for later payment (either online or by check). These options are on the last page of the registration form. Make checks payable to NASIG in US dollars. All checks must be received by May 20, 2024 to the address listed in your registration confirmation email.

Membership: Not a NASIG member? Join NASIG or renew your membership today and receive the membership conference and pre-conference rates. NASIG membership will save you $115 off of the full conference rate during regular registration.

Child Care: NASIG is not able to provide childcare or to screen available services for conference attendees.

Clothing: Business casual to casual clothing is recommended. Full business attire is not required. Dress comfortably and the meeting rooms may be cool, so plan accordingly.

Code of Conduct: NASIG is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, or economic status. We do not tolerate the harassment of NASIG members and others who participate in NASIG conferences, events, meetings, conference sponsored social activities and online spaces in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any venue, including talks, workshops, receptions, Twitter and other online media, unless it is specifically relevant to the research being presented. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Conference Program: This year’s program will be entirely online in Sched. Digital signs outside each session room will provide a snapshot of sessions in that room and there will be a few posters outside of main areas and at the registration desk that detail the day’s sessions. 

COVID Waiver

Please see  COVID Waiver for the latest information. If your COVID-related question is not answered there, please email the Conference Planning Committee.

Credit Cards: NASIG accepts VISA, MasterCard and American Express only. To pay by credit card, please be sure to use your name as it appears on your card, and the expiration date.

Dietary Restrictions: All food served at the conference will have signs to indicate if it contains allergens or gluten, as well as if they are vegetarian or vegan. If you have questions or concerns about any dietary restrictions you may have please email the Conference Planning Committee at conf-plan@nasig.org, we will be happy to work with the hotel to accommodate your needs. 

Dine-Arounds: Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30pm. Information about the selected restaurants will be available on the conference web page. Please sign up at the registration desk early if you are interested. Dine-arounds will be limited to groups of 10.

Gender Neutral Restrooms: Location TBD

Great Ideas Showcase:  Wednesday, June 5, 11:30am - 12:30pm.  The Showcase will provide an opportunity to share innovative ideas, new workflows, and new applications of technology in an interactive and informal setting. Great Ideas can be demonstrated in a variety of ways -- posters, laptops, tablets, e-readers, etc. Participants will be given a table to showcase their ideas as attendees mingle amongst the tables.

Guests: NASIG welcomes your family and friends to enjoy a stay in beautiful Spokane, with options to attend conference events or sightsee around the region. The Opening Reception fee for guests is $100.

NASIG Ramble: Join your NASIG colleagues bright and early Tuesday, June 4 at 6:30 am; participants should be able to complete the course in time for breakfast. Visit the NASIG Ramble page (forthcoming) to sign the required waiver for onsite participation. 

Hotel Parking: 

  • Car charging available with cost of valet service (upon availability)
  • For a fee 35 USD daily
  • Valet parking, fee: 35 USD daily
  • On-site parking, fee: 25 USD daily

Photos: NASIG will be taking photos of attendees throughout the conference. These photos are for NASIG use and may appear on the NASIG Website, newsletter, conference brochures, social media outlets, or other future NASIG promotional material. By virtue of their presence, conference attendees agree to the usage of their likeness in such media.

Powering up:  As with many meeting facilities, locations for powering up your devices in meeting spaces are very limited.  Please power up before the meetings.

Snapshot Sessions: Tuesday, June 4 - 4:00 pm-5:30 pm. The Snapshot Sessions will consist of a number of 5-7-minute presentations that quickly describe a project, workflow, or idea of interest to attendees.

Social Media: Use the official conference hashtag, #nasig2024, when posting to social media channels, or search for #nasig2024 or subscribe to the official NASIG accounts on FacebookFlickrInstagramLinkedInMastodon, or Twitter to keep up-to-date.

Vendor Expo: The vendor expo will be held on Wednesday, June 5th in the Grand Ballroom A from 9 am – 4 pm.  This is a great opportunity to connect with our conference sponsors and enjoy a delicious lunch with fellow conference attendees.

Vendor Lightning Talks: Two sessions of vendor lightning talks will be held on Wednesday, June 5th (location TBD) from 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm.

Virtual Conference: This conference will be an entirely in-person event with workshop sessions offered. A separate virtual NASIG conference will be held in the Fall of 2024.

Volunteers (Non-CPC members): Contact CPC if you would like to volunteer at the conference.

Medical: There are multiple hospitals with ER’s within 1-3 miles of the hotel.

Weather:  The average temperature for Spokane in June is 74° / 50°. Hotel conference rooms tend to be cold, so you may want to pack layers even if the outside temperatures are hot.
