We are so excited to have you join the NASIG community of practice working to advance and transform the management of information resources. Below is a brief guide to the number of ways that you can communicate with your fellow NASIG members and ways in which the NASIG organization can communicate with you about upcoming events and publications. Let us know if you have any questions about these communication channels by reaching out to communications@nasig.org.
NASIG-LNASIG-L is the discussion list for NASIG members. All new members are automatically subscribed. Topics for discussion include: announcements, news, meetings, reports, and issues of concern to members that may be of interest to the NASIG organization. To post to the list, send your message to NASIG-L@nasig.org. The Communications Committee reviews and approves messages sent to NASIG-L@nasig.org; it is not necessary to send to the Communications Committee email list first. Feel free to unsubscribe from NASIG-L by sending a message to the NASIG Communications Committee at communications@nasig.org.
NASIG BlogThe NASIG Blog is the home of NASIG communications including announcements about calls, conferences, awards, publications, and webinars, as well as news items like interviews, profiles on committees, and news from the membership. The most important announcements on the NASIG blog, like calls for conference proposals and award nominations and upcoming event registrations will also be sent to all NASIG members via broadcast message.
Instead of posting job announcements to the NASIG-L listserv, NASIG maintains a separate NASIG jobs blog exclusively for job postings. NASIG does require that all job postings to NASIG Jobs blog include a salary range with the intent to promote transparency and equity in libraries. To post a position to the NASIG Jobs Blog, send your posting to jobs@nasig.org.
